Godzilla vs Podcast Zero - Rebirth of Mothra II (1997) - Ann Maddox

This week we take a look at the extended Godzilla universe by reviewing Rebirth of Mothra II with our special guest, Ann Maddox. Ann speaks Japanese and grew up in Japan, so she brings her distinct cultural knowledge to this genre, as well as her comedy chops because she’s also a very funny and talented comedian.

This movie is very well done, with special effects that hold up over 20 years later! Short of some green screen limitations, the effects in this movie were really top notch, and the movie has an overall fun Goonies-like vibe to it.

I didn’t get Jay Hasrajani’s take in time for the edit of this episode, but I imagine he had a lot of comments and questions about the translation, which wasn’t as bonkers as King Ghidorah (1991), but had its moments.
