The very funny Abed Gheith, actor and writer who's appeared on Community and has written for Rick & Morty joins us to look at the mother of all Godzilla movies: the original 1954 classic! This is the American version because we intend to review the Japanese version at a later time since there were enough changes to warrant a whole separate episode. I confess during this episode that I hadn't watched the original until now because I was always such a big fan of Godzilla that I was worried the original wouldn't hold up to the later in the series. I'm very pleased to say that not only does it, this is easily one of the top 3 Godzilla movies of all time. It's a classic for a reason and we all agreed that it's well worth the watch.
